Shohei Ohtani, Ben Casparius and Emmet Sheehan of the Dodgers visited a fire department in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Pacific Palisades Station 69 welcomed the ballplayers, giving them a tour and taking them on ride in their fire trucks.
The Pacific Palisades community has been devasted by fires that have killed 28 people and destroyed more than 14,000 structures in Greater Los Angeles since 7 Jan.
Dodgers owner Mark Walter, the Walter family foundation and the Dodgers’ foundation have pledged up to $100 million USD toward LA Rises, an initiative to provide major resources aimed at helping Los Angeles communities most affected by the catastrophic fires.
