When she tried to stop sending money, the romance turned into blackmail and threats involving private family photos. Investigators later traced the phone numbers, social-media activity, and an IP address to Lagos, Nigeria, exposing an elaborate celebrity impersonation scam built around loneliness, emotional manipulation, and financial exploitation.
